Meet Dr. Erika Jasper

Dr. Erika Jasper is a Leesburg, Florida native. She was raised in a loving family with humble beginnings. Dr. Jasper graduated with her Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm. D) from Florida A&M University. She went on to earn dual Master’s Degrees to make herself more competitive in the workplace. Erika earned an MBA from Stetson University along with an MS in Pharmacy – Applied Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Florida. Dr. Jasper has been passionate in her commitment to public and community service.  She has dedicated herself and her resources by volunteering and chairing projects in the non-profit arena. Through the Christian Worship Center, Men of Distinction, and Kids of Distinction, they have fed the homeless, hosted health fairs, provided free tutoring to children, and promoted family unity through community activities. 

Believing that education has the power to transform lives, Dr. Jasper established the Dr. Erika Jasper Scholarship to help deserving Lake County high school seniors pursue higher education. Since 2020, the scholarship has recognized outstanding students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. Through this initiative, Dr. Jasper continues to invest in the next generation of leaders by helping remove financial barriers to higher education. Professionally, Dr. Jasper worked for Joyce Meyer Ministries for three years, spearheading medical mission teams around the globe while spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She traveled to more than 25 countries during that time, reaching some of the most remote and impoverished communities in Southeast Asia, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. Dr. Jasper used her clinical knowledge as a pharmacist to alleviate human suffering.

Dr. Jasper has been featured in the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper for her leadership role in administering the first COVID-19 vaccine in her community. She was named the “Top Pharmacist of the Year” in Medco’s Annual Report and was also featured as one of Ebony Magazine’s “Top Bachelorettes.” Dr. Jasper also serves on the Board of Directors for the Leesburg Community Development Corporation, Homes in Partnership, Inc., and United Way (Women United). She also served on the City of Leesburg's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board. Dr. Jasper is an ordained Minister. Her message is one of encouragement, inspiration, and power. She has ministered to many denominations and organizations crossing culture, ethnicity, and religious barriers. Dr. Jasper currently works as a clinical pharmacist. She also enjoys traveling, meeting new people, reading, and cooking.
